Hello, Families -

We send you all our most sincere thoughts as we close out a very difficult week in our JRMS community. Our hearts are with the Sorce family and all our students who are feeling his loss.

We invite you to join us this coming Tuesday, January 27th at 7 pm in the JRMS Community Room as Leslie Cohen-Robury, LCSW presents "Understanding the Middle School Brain & Building A Thriving Relationship”, taking place after our PTA Meeting this Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 7 PM in the Community Room at JRMS.

Topics to be covered will include the neuroscience behind brain development, dialectical behavior therapy, and conflict resolution for escalating emotions. In light of last week's tragedy, Leslie will also discuss the ways kids this age process grief, what that looks like, and how to help them navigate through what they're feeling. Please come with your questions about all aspects of raising middle schoolers.

A reminder that childcare (for ages 4+) is available, thanks to the Boys and Girls Club of Redding-Easton. Please RSVP by January 26 - and indicate how many adults and children will be attending. This is an in-person only event.
